College Football Predictions- 10/22/05

OU- 17 Baylor- 14
No Peterson. Big problems. This is perhaps the best Baylor team since the formation of the Big 12. Baylor has people who hit hard on defense and will cause some problems for the struggling OU offense who will play without Adrian Peterson. This game will come down to the 4th quarter, scaring many MANY OU fans. But OU comes out on top thanks to a late field goal.
Ok. St.- 24 Iowa St.- 28
Ok. St. finally gets a sputtering offense going but it won't be enough in the long run. OSU has many problems and it will show as they go on the road to Iowa St. who lost to Baylor a couple of weeks ago. OSU will lead at halftime (close) but will lose that lead in the final moments of the game.
USC-42 Washington-14
Matt Lienart will look impressive as will the entire team as they go on the road to Washington University. Reggie Bush (surprise surprise) rushes for over 100 yards and adds some impressive TD's (again, surprise surprise). For the first time in a while, USC won't trail in this game.
Texas Tech-35 Texas-38
This could very well be THE matchup of the year in the Big 12. Two high powered offenses show what they have this Saturday in Austin, Texas. The game won't dissappoint. Texas Tech tries hard all game to keep up with the Longhorns led by Vince Young. And speaking of Young, he has a HUGE day to improve his Heisman chances. He rushes for over 50 yards and 250 yards passing. But Tech has a big day too. The top passing team in the nation shows up and throws for over 400 yards to just fall short in the end against Texas.
Sulfur- 35 Davis- 14
Yes! A high school game. Usually one of the best Oklahoma high school football matchups of the season turns out not to be so this year. Davis isn't near as good as they were last year but they are still decent. Sulfur is still pretty dang good (they beat Kingston 75-10 last week). Sulfur will easily dispose of the Wolves this Friday.
