A pirates life for me...

The house is in!

Great news, right? Yes, for the most part. The downside (right now) is that I can't move in for another few days. I have to wait for the plumbers, electrician's, wizards, and whoever-they-are's to come and get everything ready for me to move in. I haven't bought a refrigerator yet, but it'll be one of the last things for me to do. Yay... I get to spend more money I don't have.

One month left of school. Awesome. Right now we are in the middle of prepping for the EOI (End of Instruction) tests. The whole year comes down to these tests. No pressure.

Tomorrow I'll be doing something that I thought I would never do. I don't really want to say exactly what that is just yet, but if it goes a certain way, then I'll share. Don't you just love these vague stories?

Pirates are in the news. Since when did pirates become "in" again? The media seems to indicate that they are everywhere. Now, on top of economic disaster and global warming, we get to deal with contemporary Peg-legs. Every time I hear anyone talk about the "new" pirates, I always imagine them with an eye patch and a parrot. Sometimes they would say, "Why is the rum gone?"

Alrighty then... I guess I'll talk to ya again in a month.... ha....

Until next time, vaya con Dios.

  • You know what I don't get even more than real pirates? People who dress up like pirates. A lot. And hang out together and pretend to be pirates. And give each other pirate names. Because...why?! What's the significance?

Ah, the house! and Ah, no refrigerator! We got ours pretty cheapo at Sears. It's definitely not the fanciest fridge there ever was, but 1)it works and 2)it's roomy and 3) whatever, it works.

  • Check around for dent and ding rooms. They'll save you a ton or get you a kick ass fridge. We got our fridge and our stove from a place with a dent and ding room. The fridge has a scratch on the side that goes against the wall, but is otherwise perfect. And we got about $600 off. Woot!
