Will the real gingus please stand up?

And now, let's welcome to the stage, the one... the only... what?..... Who is that?........ I thought we were introducing someone that at least somebody has heard of...... Oh well.... ...... The one, the only..... The Gingus Chronicles!

(Hold for applause)

Thank you..... You may be seated. Wow. That was a very warm welcome. I didn't deserve that. You all are too kind.... too kind....

SNAP! Back to reality.

OK. Here we go. I have a pork with somebody... well, a beef with something. In other words, I am slightly angered by something. So, I'm not going to name any names or any situations very specifically. So, here we go....

I love it (sarcastic tone) how some people who have a problem with somebody or something go to Facebook and/or Myspace to spread the hate.

It's just like when you go to a public bathroom and you sit and read some of the most ignorant crap you've ever seen in your life. "Mike was here". Then later it reads, "Mike is a faggot."

This person goes on to call one of my close friends a horrible name and broadcasts it to dozens (maybe hundreds) of people. Does this person stop there? No. They go on to hate on the organization that stands behind this friend. No. I know there are always two sides to every story. But it appears that this person only took a look at "the other story" and stuck with it. And because of what this person has said about my friend, more rumors and ignorance has been hurled out of stupidity. Get a life! Either that or get a different life. What you are doing is childish and stupid. If you have a problem, then be a man about it. Quit hiding behind the 1's and 0's of the computer world.

Now, am I doing the same thing he is doing? I don't believe so. I am not spreading ignorance and hate. I am minding my own business and trying to ignore people attacking my friends. I feel like I am betraying my friends when I don't stand up for them. I'm not on the offensive here. You are. If you don't like us, then either shut up about it or come talk to us.

End of rant.... for now. That's really all I ever want to say about it. Ever. And I hope everybody else is done with it too.

Until next time, vaya con Dios. And stay cool.... I mean warm.

Roll Call

It's time for an update, or something like that.

Lot's changes here lately. Okay, maybe just one, but still a big one.... Maybe I'll talk about it later.

Thanksgiving.... how great thou art. Food, family, and a break from school... kinda. I have practices on Friday and Saturday. I'm actually looking forward to it. It's fun...

So, what am I thankful for?

I'm thankful for:
Terrific family, friends, #23 (she knows who she is), my awesome blog, the three people who read it, the UCM, new vehicles, the finances that allow me to have said vehicle, awesome students who never give me any trouble, awesome coworker who make it easy to work with them, cream cheese, MuteMath, the show Lost, and last but not least, Action Figure Jesus.

Okay, I'm kidding on a few of these, but seriously, I am thankful for SO many things it's near impossible to list them on a simple blog. I am so blessed to have the life I have even though I take it for granted nearly every day. There are many people in my life that are a true blessing and I wish I could truly show them how important they are in my life. God has blessed me beyond anything I could ever deserve.

Until next time, vaya con Dios. AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

by the way, don't kill each other in the next few days trying to buy presents for everybody... unless it's for me....

Jables has left the building

Basketball update:

We stand at 5-1. We won the tourneyment last week. And since then we had two more games. We won on Monday but lost today. It was our worst game so far. That's why there is a "1" after the "-" instead of a "0". Oh well. All I ask is that they give it their all.

Work is good and frustrating all at the same time. Some classes I enjoy and others.... well..... not so much.

I can't wait until I totally finish my ECU classes. All I have is two until I'm completely done. But it seems likes it's taking forever to finish them. I'm having senioritis to the 12th degree.

Thanksgiving break will be soon enough and then I'll be able to get a day of rest ..... maybe even two days, if I'm lucky.

There's still no relationship to speak of. I'm so busy, maybe it's a good thing....

I wonder if I can only have a summer relationship....

I'm still loving the new vehicle.... no doubt about that.

I'm still wearing shoes.... and socks. And clothes.

Until next time, vaya con Dios.

Won and done

The record stands at 1-0.

The girls won their game in a very low scoring affair. It was great for them to win but it was a little costly. One of my starters hurt her foot and will be out for who knows when. It was great to win but it was bittersweet.

Our first high school game was last night and it was good for the girls and not so great for the guys. Both teams fought hard. I am proud of them both.

Now we have a game next Wednesday and it's the first round of a tournament. If we win (that's what I'm going for) we get to play the next day. And if we win that game we play for the championship on Saturday. Good for them but bad for my chances of going to the last OU football home game. Oh well. I'll take a win over going to the game.

Until next time, vaya con Dios.

The beginning of the end of the beginning

The first game is officially today. Let the winning begin!

My coaching career is now fully underway. I'm beginning to become nervous. I'm hoping that I did the right things in practice to prepare them for game 1. I would have done several things different so far but I can't do anything about it now. You live, you learn, right?

The first high school game is this Friday. Should be exciting times. Come out and watch. Fun times!

I'm going to sleep now... until next time, vaya con Dios.
